I am Inglez, my artistic name inspired by the peculiar history of my family. In my father’s land, we were known as “the English”, a designation derived from my paternal grandfather’s nickname. This title was bestowed due to his distinctive appearance, characterized by blond hair and light eyes, similar to foreign traders and travelers who occasionally crossed our paths.
The nomenclature reflects the local tradition of categorizing all foreigners as “English.”
At the age of 16, I began my training and portfolio in the field of audiovisuals at the Artistic School Soares dos Reis. Since then, I have developed audiovisual projects with various artists in the fields of contemporary dance, breakdance, mural painting, and animation, directing an award-winning short film and a mini-documentary.
I crossed the Atlantic from Porto to São Paulo in search of more complex and challenging productions.
